Hi I'm Joshua Ryan

I'm a builder. I'm a mentor. Most importantly I'm a husband and father!

About Me

I can proudly say I am a husband of a wonderful, beautiful woman. I have three great children, and love spending time with them. My best times are spent with my family and doing any activity, great or small, with them. I enjoy reading and learning. I finished my MBA 2013 while working full-time in the construction management industry. I served as a missionary in Thailand, and loved my time there and I love the people. I enjoy continuing to learn the Thai language and learning about other cultures. I enjoy running, camping, recreational shooting, reading and spending great quality time with my family. I'm involved in Boy Scouts and am an Eagle scout.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be! I love the relationship I have developed with Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ through the teachings of His prophets and the scriptures. I know the organization of this Church is inspired and follows the organization set forth by the Prophet Joseph Smith. I have prayed, read the Bible and Book of Mormon and know they both testify that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and my Redeemer and the Redeemer of the world. I love the emphasis on family, and know that my family is happiest through following the teachings of living prophets and apostles. My life is happiest and I am most grateful when living in accordance with the Gospel as found in this Church. I know I am sealed for all time and eternity to my wife, children, parents and family. I know others will be blessed when they choose as I have, and come to know of these truths.

How I live my faith

I love discussing Gospel topics with my wife, and teaching my young children about Jesus Christ and His church. I enjoy praying with them and reading the scriptures. We watch videos and movies produced by the Church together for family home evening. This is an evening a week we take aside to ensure we are gathered together to teach spiritual lessons, participate in family activities, and have fun. I spend time every week serving in my church ward as a 2nd counselor in the Young Men's organization as well as Scoutmaster for the troop. I realize it is important to teach our Heavenly Father's children the same truths I know to be true. I know it is important to ensure the ward members and visitors have lessons and feel of the Holy Ghost every week in Church. I go to work everyday just like everyone else. I don't use foul language. I don't tell dirty jokes or participate in them. I try to show others my beliefs by my actions. They know I don't drink or smoke. They also know that work isn't my life, my family is.
