Hi I'm Kenny

I'm a Mormon! A husband, father, CPA and sports lover who enjoys technology, the arts, family, learning and saving taxes.

About Me

I am the youngest of 14 children. My wife and I along with our young family now live in Salem, Oregon. I enjoy life and love to spend time with my family and friends. I like to play baseball, volleyball, tennis, and other sports. I really enjoy good, wholesome music and performing arts. I like strategy, development and business. I am passionate about continuous learning. I love to see others be happy!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, or member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of the testimony I have received. This testimony has grown because of numerous experiences in my life. Even though I was raised in the church, I have personally chosen this path and not solely because of family tradition. I was taught that even though I was born into and raised in our faith that I needed to ask for myself if this church is Christ's true church. Even though I was instructed in our beliefs throughout my life there became a point I had to determine for myself if this is true. That is exactly what I did. I had read the Book of Mormon and after doing so, I knelt in sincere prayer with a great desire to know if the Book of Mormon was in fact a book of scripture from God. I also prayed to know if the Prophet Joseph Smith was in fact a prophet of God who indeed saw the things he said he saw. The marvelous thing is that I received my own personal witness of these truths. My favorite thing about the teachings of the church is that anybody can go through this same process. In fact, it is what we all must do to know of God's truth. What loving parent would not want to teach their own children the truths they know and how to avoid serious pitfalls in life? God is our loving Father and he wants each of us to know all truth. He has a plan to bring to pass the eternal life of his children. This is made possible through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying scriptures, praying, fasting, and seeking ways to serve others. Together with my wife, I strive to teach our children the doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I attend church meetings weekly. Semi-annually I watch a general conference of the church where we listen to talks given by current day prophets and apostles. I fulfill assignments at church by monthly visiting the homes of other families to see how they are doing and to be sure their physical and spiritual needs are being met. Sometimes I will talk for 10-15 minutes to our church congregation. I look for opportunities to serve in our community whether helping someone to move, do yard work, paint their house, or to help in another capacity to meet the needs of others.
