Hi I'm Steven

I'm husband, father of 4 children and a physician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father of 4 children and a physician. When I am not caring for patients or teaching residents I enjoy taking my children camping, hiking, and fishing.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life. Yet, I had to learn for myself that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that the teachings of the church are true. All humble seekers of truth can come to the same knowledge through study and prayer. To me, the most important teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are that God is just as active in our lives today as he was during the bible times. Because of His love for us, He has called modern-day prophets. These prophets receive revelation and continue to teach us what God knows that we need today. God has also provided a way for our families to be together even after death. These teachings give me perspective and peace in a difficult world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by spending time with the people that matter most, my family. By teaching my children values and principles that my parents taught me, I am instilling in them the tools they will need to be successful in this life. We pray and study the teachings of Jesus Christ as a family. Sunday is a special day for us when we put aside our daily routine and focus on those things that bring true happiness. At church I serve by teaching one of the Sunday School classes. This class is geared towards those new in the church or people who are coming for the first time. We discuss the basic teachings of the church.
