Hi I'm Emma

I'm a daughter. I'm a sister. I'm a friend. I'm a roommate. I'm a coworker. I'm an accountant. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent college graduate and newly employed accountant. I love traveling and seeing new people and new places. I love the summer - swimming, being outside, baseball, and fireworks of course. I love reading. And mostly, I love spending time with close friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both Mormon, and I was born and raised going to church every Sunday. I guess I just grew up knowing this church is true. When I went across the country for college, with my parents no longer there to push me out the door every Sunday, I kept going to church. I can't attribute my membership in this church to one particular shining moment. Honestly, I just think this church makes sense. I have never felt the need to doubt or question my membership, because no other way would satisfactorily answer my questions - what is my purpose in this life, where did I come from, where am I going? I know that God Himself is the organizer and leader of this church and that He has placed prophets on the earth today to be His voice and His spokesman. I know that I feel peace and warmth when I am doing what I am supposed to be doing, and that comfort and knowledge confirms to me daily why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I serve in my ward by sending out weekly emails of upcoming events and announcements to the members of my ward. I also serve as a secretary for the women in the ward, marking attendance, taking notes, and helping the leaders of the ward in whatever secretarial manner they may need. I try to live my faith everyday by being happy and friendly and always trying to represent the church in a positive way.
