Hi I'm Bryon

I'm a husband, father, martial artist and information security professional. I am also a mormon.

About Me

I was born in Tennessee, but I have lived in Ohio most of my life until recently when we moved to Virginia. I am married with four children, all girls. I work in the Information Technology field and I am training in Aikido, Jujitsu and Karate or Taijutsu. Our family loves the outdoors and loves to go hiking and camping.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and, after a long 14-years of inactivity in the church, I came to church and found the joy in living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I guess I am a Mormon, or a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, because it is the only true and living religion on the face of the earth that has the fullness of the Everlasting Gospel. I know that it is true, it has brought me happiness and I hope to share that happiness with others. I don't know that it is true because of man but because I asked God if it was true and the Holy Ghost confirmed that this, the Mormon religion, is in reality the true church that was setup by Christ when He was on the earth.

How I live my faith

Well the whole hath no need of a physician so I am far from perfect; however, I know that, through Christ, I can be forgiven and live a better life each day. I try to be one of integrity and one that people look to as being kind and gentle, being able to sense the needs of others and serve them in the capacity in which I am able. I always try to remember that I have taken upon myself the name of Christ and follow His example.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

No man can take it upon himself to act in the name of Christ and complete ordinances unless he is called of God as was Aaron. As Moses was given the Priesthood under the hand of his father-in-law, Jethro, so men today must be given the proper authority by revelation and the laying on of hands of those who are in authority to administer the Gospel. So, all men can take upon them the name of Christ, but certain things, like blessing the sacrament and baptizing, which John that Baptist received authority to perform, one must be called of God in the way that Jesus' Apostles were called and ordained.
