Hi I'm D. Brewer
I am just an every-day guy. I am a Mormon.
I have a beautiful wife, two wonderful sons, and a darling baby girl. We all love to play video and board games, watch movies, and go camping. I like to play frisbee, golf, hiking, hunting, and fishing. My wife and I are both attending the local college and I work as a fire alarm engineer.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of the feelings I get when I follow the the teachings of Christ taught in the LDS church. I feel full of joy when I serve others and follow the teachings of Christ. I feel a great happiness knowing that I have a Father in Heaven who loves and cares for me. I am greatly amazed when I think that through the grace of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, I can have eternal life by abiding by his teachings. It brings me great joy and happiness to know that my eternal life won't be spent alone, but with my family. It gives me great comfort to know that we have not been abandoned by our Heavenly Father and that he still watches over us and speaks to us through the Holy Spririt, His prophet, and through prayer. I am greatful that the Lord answers my prayers and that by the Holy Spirit I can gain a knowledge of these things. I love The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!
How I live my faith
I believe I live my faith by studying the scriptures and trying to following Christ's example. I try every day to be friendly and kind to those people I come in contact with and I try and look for ways I can serve them. One of the ways I serve others is by home teaching. As a home teacher I visit members of our church in their homes to see how they are doing and offer an uplifting message. I love the home teaching program because I always feel like there is someone out there who cares how me and my family are doing. I feel that through this program our church really looks out for the wellbeing of all its members.
