Hi I'm Russ

I'm a husband, father, coach and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have been married to my wife Jenny since 1990. She is the love of my life. I have 3 boys; Douglas, Stockton, and Mason. I love spending time with them; fishing, watching sports and going to lunch every Saturday. I have coached each of them in baseball. I love spending time on the baseball field watching them play, but also coaching them, along with the rest of their teammates. I also am a trainer (coach) by profession. I train new real estate agents, to help them get their real estate career up and running.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for most of my life. The reason that I have remained active and participating with the church is because I have found that everything that the church teaches is about helping me to be a better; person, husband, and Father. I would invite anyone reading this to please look into the teachings of the church and what you will notice is that it is geared towards helping you to become a better person, husband, and father. I have found great joy but living the things that are taught in the church and I am grateful to be a member.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the 1st Counselor in a Young Single Adult (YSA) Stake. We have about 2500 YSA (they are between the ages of 18 and 31 years old) that are members of this Stake. I am responsible to oversee the finances, Temple and Family History work, and spend time training these future leaders. I have been serving with the YSA for about 3 years and find a tremendous amount of joy working with and training them to be future leaders, not only in our church but in the world.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Everything in the church is geared towards making stronger families. The plan of our Heavenly Father was for us to come to earth, receive a body, and eventually get married and have our own families; living in families here on earth helps us to learn, in a small way, of the love that our Heavenly Father has for us.
