Hi I'm Emily

I am a stay a home mom, law school wife, budding seamstress and crafter, world traveler, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from California, went to school in Utah where I met my husband. I have since lived in North Carolina, France, and am prepping to live in the Netherlands. I've always dreamed of living abroad, and I've enjoyed filling that dream with my family. I am about to have baby number two, and it gives me great joy! I love to sew clothes for me and my little boy and soon to be daughter. I also enjoy making jewelry and home decor. I love to go on walks in the cool of the morning and be outside. Living is wonderful and I am so grateful for this life I have!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family, so since I was born I have attended this church. As a child, my parents and other adults in my ward taught me lessons out of the scriptures about things like faith and prayer. Through prayer, church attendance, and scripture study, I have learned that God wants me to be happy and that the only way I can truly be happy is though obeying his commandments and being part of his church. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church here on the earth today. I know this through feelings of peace I have received through praying and asking if this church were true.

How I live my faith

I love to visit teach women in my ward. Visiting teaching is a way that I can get to know another person through monthly visits and friendly conversations. It is so much fun to meet another person and get to know them well. I enjoy serving that person and helping them with whatever they may be struggling with. I know that the Lord looks after each of his children, and I know that visiting teaching is one of the ways that the Lord helps and loves all his children.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is a book of scripture similar to the Bible. It consists of prophets' writings in the Americas, as well as Christ's visitation to ancient American people. It contains the gospel of Jesus Christ and gives purpose to this life. I know that this book is true, because when I read it I feel good and I want to be a better person. Show more Show less
