Hi I'm Danica

I am a wife, a mother of 4, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Wife and mother of 4. I enjoy home-remodeling, teaching children about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, eating healthy, volunteering at school, Scouting and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in the LDS faith. Some in my family chose a different path in life that didn't lead to peace. I started studying the scriptures at a young age and gained a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and with my Heavenly Father. At a certain point I had to know for myself that it was the true chuch. I had to know that what always felt right, was the very gospel that would lead home to my Heavenly Father. I prayed, not once, but many times, and the Spirit has testified to me of the truth. I know I am not alone and that I am doing what the Lord wants me to do. I am happy! With my Father in Heaven I cam endure all things. This is why I am still and will remain A Mormon.

How I live my faith

I start my day with prayer and then begin doing the best to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I teach my children of Christ. I study the scriptures daily because they strengthen my faith. I teach the children in church about God's plan for them. I visit 4 women a month to make sure there are no needs that I, or the church, can assist with. We build each others faith as we share a message together. I am a recovering food addict. I turn to God daily in prayer to overcome the cravings to over-eat. Faith in Jesus Christ has been my only way through the daily challenge of eating well.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

I am a Mormon woman. I stay home with my children so I can be at the crossroads of their life. My purpose is to make a happy home for my family. Nothing brings more joy than to serve my family. Mormon women are equal to the men in the church. In fact, I feel we are placed above the men in many ways. Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

As I study the scriptures I remember why I am here on earth. I remember that the Lord always provides and protects those who follow Him. I remember that life is not about obtaining riches, but about loving others. The world is a changing place, which is unsettling. The scriptures remind me that God is unchanging. His laws are the same. That is an anchor to my soul; it casts out fear and gives me hope. Show more Show less
