Hi I'm Lincoln

I'm a Mormon. Life is good!

About Me

I love life! Some of my favorite things to do are paragliding and riding motorcycles.

Why I am a Mormon

It feels right, it makes me happy, and it's helped me progress in many areas of my life in a huge way.

How I live my faith

I just try to do my best every day! My latest assignment in the ward (congregation) is to take pictures and update the ward directory, and send announcements about ward events. It's a fun way to get to know everyone!

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

I have many friends that are curious about Mormons and what they believe, but sometimes feel awkward bringing up questions about the church. If they ever ask about what I believe, I'm happy to talk with them about it on simple terms without overwhelming them with tons of details. Some of the short and simple points about the church are: - Mormons are Christians, and read the Bible. We also read the Book of Mormon which is a record of scripture like the Bible, just written by people in another part of the world. - We believe that the church Christ established while he was on the earth eventually fell into apostasy, and the church needed to be restored again on the earth in our day along with the priesthood (the authority to act in God's name). - Like in ancient times, the church needs to be led by a prophet, who is called of God. Joseph Smith was a prophet in our day, and helped restore Christ's church back to the earth - he translated the Book of Mormon from its original form on gold plates, and received the authority to continue carrying out Christ's church on the earth.
