Hi I'm Chanda

I'm finishing up school, am engaged to be married and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm second oldest of eight children. I'm currently pursuing a career in nursing. My interests are sports, movies, books and architecture.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the Savior and I love His example and teachings. This is His church and as such, the teachings of Christ aren't merely taught, they become a way of life. As I learn more of him, I strive to become a better person- more like him. I love feeling that light of Christ take root and infuse my soul as I understand His role for me here on earth. We each have a divine role and purpose on earth and I believe I've come to know mine as I've learned and served in His church.

How I live my faith

Like most, I live my faith one day at a time. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we live our religion daily. Although we attend church services once a week, we strive daily to come unto Christ and to find additional ways to serve him throughout the rest of the week.

What is the priesthood?

The Priesthood, as in ancient times, is the power and authority given to man to act in God's name for the benefit of His children. It's through this authority that we are able to receive the saving ordinances necessary for our salvation-such as baptism. Show more Show less

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is in fact, another witness of Jesus Christ. It's a companion to the Bible to help us better understand His teachings and the role he plays in our life. I believe that Jesus did appear to those in the ancient inhabitants of the America's after his crucifixion. This account can be read in the Book of Mormon in 3 Nephi beginning with chapter 11. It's an account of healing, love and teaching. Show more Show less
