Hi I'm Elise Marie

I am a student of Psychology. I am raising a little family with my loving husband. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love the great out doors and animals. We hope to live on a ranch one day. I have two beautiful Daughters and cant wait to have more. Both my husband and I are striving to finish college. We love to spend time together and strengthening our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but that doesn't mean I continue to go because I was raised this way. When I was a teenager I got the desire to know for myself if the church was the only true church. I waited and waited for a big awaking, an angel to visit or a confermation through a undeniable voice. But what I got instead was a warm comforting feeling every time I prayed and asked if it was true. All those times have built up into the burning testimony I have today. Everything about the church answers my questions and the answers I get are reassuring.

How I live my faith

I teach once a month in Relief Society (The organization set up for just the women). I am given talks from General Conference (talks given by the prophet and apostles of the Church) to create a lesson from. I learn a lot from studying these talks and learn even more as I conduct the lessons and the women make comments and bear their testimonies. I also enjoy visiting with other mothers and women I have been assigned to care for. I visit them in their homes, make sure they have what they need and share a gospel related message with them. I grow so close to the ladies I visit and find great joy when I can help them. With my family I enjoy regular scripture study, prayer and Family Home Evening. Every Monday is set aside for Family Home Evening. We enjoy time together as a family, have a gospel lesson and teach our daughters about the gospel. This stregthens our family so much.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Elise Marie
Mormons live just like everyone else but clean. We dont swear, drink or smoke. Our clothing is modest and our music and movies are uplifting. We live in the world but dont partake of everything offered. If you saw us walking down the street you might not know we have a different faith unless you look really hard. I have had many friends who are not of this faith tell me they can recognize a mormon by their countenance. We call that the spirit. We carry the light of Christ. So if you look closely you might be able to pick us out of a crowd. Show more Show less
