Hi I'm Shawn

I love my family, I love the mountains, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite thing to ask people is: "Are you still living the dream?" I grew up in Colorado and love the mountains. I married my best friend and I am a father of 4 beautiful children. I work as a software engineer / IT architect. I love to mountain bike, play racquetball, basketball and ski. I love to be in the mountains, camp, hike and be with the family. I love sleeping on the deck with the kids on the 4th of July. I've lived in Chile, the United States, and Sweden. Three times a year that I watch TV: College football Saturdays, March Madness, and General Conference. Life is beautiful.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel because it gives me purpose, helps me see things from a larger perspective and helps me become the best I can be. The biggest thing The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints has taught me is that through hardwork and preserverence and with the Lord on your side, you can overcome anything. I've learned that our Heavinly Father can make so much more out of us than we can if we just put our trust in Him. It's a beautiful plan and I'm glad I have the opportunity to embrace it head on!

How I live my faith

I lead many of the good men in our church by providing opportunities of service, organizing sporting events, helping them learn to become self-reliant, teaching them to rely on the Lord, and helping them care and love their fellow neighbor.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

This is what all my prayers, beliefs, and hopes are all about. My wife is the most beautiful friend and person I've ever known and its been a privilege to share this life with her. The doctrine of being able to keep that relationship with her for time and eternity is one of the most precious truths I know and hold dear to my heart. It's a privilege to know that our Heavinly Father has given us the great opportunity to make this happen through the temples. Show more Show less
