Hi I'm Joshua

I'm a Kentucky native. So are my ancestors since 1810! I love working on my Jeep and being a Nurse. I'm a Mormon family man!

About Me

My wife and I have a great family together. We met in college as next door neighbors! : ) After learning to love each other through acts of service and fun dating activities, we married in 2004. We now have three daughters who love their family, and they are a great joy. I'm an endoscopy nurse, and I chose this because it teaches me to serve others and take care of the physical body. On the side, I work on my '84 Jeep Scrambler with my daughters pretending to drive in the front seats! My wife and I love to read books (she loves fiction & I like fact-based) and we enjoy being best friends.

Why I am a Mormon

As an older teenager, the Gospel of Jesus Christ (as taught in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) helped me to know the truth about 1. where I came from before earth life, 2. what the most important things are during mortality, and 3. what my family and I can have together for eternity. I converted from being a Southern Baptist because God answers prayers with intimate, confirming feelings that can come to each of us through the power of the Holy Ghost. He helps His children on earth to know how He wants to be worshiped. He gives us "The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ" as proof of His divine Son Jesus Christ and His gospel message. To read it is to feel the gospel message of Christ's peace, love and real understanding--all perpetuated into today's time. Everything we need to find God, God has given to us through true prophet messengers, the first of whom (since New Testament times) was Joseph Smith. By his fruits you will know him. I highly recommend that you get a free copy of "The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ" for yourself from the Mormon dot org homepage. The record and message are truly from Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I believe that God's true religion and church on earth invites me to help others on their way. Trying to be like the Savior Jesus Christ, for me, means reaching out in gestures of service in the form of sharing the Gospel of Christ with friends. It means sharing something that has proven itself so very worth it time and again. In church we get to serve in a variety of leadership- and service-oriented positions, without pay, in a true sense of volunteerism for 2-4 hours a week. There is a great sense of friendship and community among the members. I personally get to serve currently as a teacher of 4- and 5-year old kids. This is the sweetest age in life! They are full of love, smiles, and enjoy singing about the Savior Jesus Christ. Even at such a young age, they can feel the love God has for them.
