Hi I'm Jeffrey

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I follow only one sport NBA basketball. I'm a Utah Jazz fan. I also enjoy good Adobe video tutorials teaching how to use Adobe products. When it comes to the computer my loyalties come to three. 1. Google (will teach me anything I want to know) 2. Adobe (I have become very comfortable with their interfaces) 3. Apple (I think they are amazing products but I get annoyed with their proprietary rules.) I'm married and have two children (boy and girl)

Why I am a Mormon

A Book of Mormon Prophet comparing the growth of Trees to the gospel said "...try the experiment..." -Alma 32:36 The experiment is to live the teachings of the Gospel for awhile. When you do that you are creating an opportunity for the Holy Ghost to confirm the truth. I have experimented and I know that the Holy Ghost will confirm the truths of the LORDs gospel to whoever tries the experiment.

How I live my faith

After I served my mission one of my Church leaders gave me this advice "your life is going to get really busy. You wont have the opportunities to study like you have had during your mission. I encourage you to always read at least one verse of scripture a day, pay your tithing and attend your Sunday services." With two children and going back to school and working full time, I understand why he gave that advice. So I have been striving to follow that advice.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

I'd imagine, cause we follow a Prophet, and the idea of following an imperfect individual isn't a reliable source for God. My response is, we dont follow one person. The LORD set up a prophet and twelve apostles. If these twelve men are not one then they're not the LORDs. No cult the LORD set up a government like structure. Where he has checks and balances.
