Hi I'm Morgan Colleen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 30 year old wife and stay-at-home-mom of four children. I recently graduated from a local junior college with three associates degrees in English, Liberal Arts, and Arts and Cultures. I love reading and writing, and talking to people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the LDS church. I was 18 years old when I was baptized. In high school, I had many friends who were members of the church, and I even attended some meetings with them on Sundays, but I really wasn't interested in joining. After I graduated, I dated a boy who was a member. I would attend church with him, and got to know the missionaries. One day, the missionaries were asking me questions about what I believed, and eventually it led into them giving me the first discussion. Over time, my boyfriend suggested that I pray too Heavenly Father to know the truth, just as it says in the Bible in James 1:5. So I did, and was overcome with a spreading feeling in my chest that told me that what the church was, in fact, true. It still took me some time to make the step to baptism, but I did, and that boyfriend who led me to the gospel is now my husband. I haven't always been the perfect member of the church, and I know there are times ahead where I will make mistakes. But I continue to follow the gospel because I know in my heart that it is true, and that I will be able to be with my family forever, and return to live with my Heavenly Father, if I endure to the end.

How I live my faith

As Primary President in my ward, I am in charge of the children's classes in my church for kids age 18 months to 12. I organize their classes so that they have teachers every Sunday. I also teach, organize activities for them, and get to know them.

What are some of the ways that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps those around the world?

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Morgan Colleen
We dress nicely for church - men wear khaki pants, slacks, or suits with white dress shirts and ties, and women wear skirts or dresses. It is the same for children. We celebrate Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving (in America,) Halloween, Fourth of July - pretty much all of the main holidays. Show more Show less
