Hi I'm Bryce

I have a passion for soccer. I am a student at Brigham Young University. I love to scuba dive. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a mom, dad, brother, and sister. I graduated high school in 2009 and finished my first year of university. I've recently moved to Australia for a few years. I'm currently living in Brisbane Australia and enjoy sharing my values and beliefs with all that I can because I know that it can bless others. I hope to one day return to university and study neuroscience. I successfully earned my Eagle Scout award when I was 17 years old. I love soccer. I have a great passion for the game. I was very successful as a player in high school and on teams since then. I have also coached seven and eight year olds in soccer. I love the game. I love almost every field of study. I love sports, biology, chemistry, mathematics, engineering, history, law, and heaps of other subjects. One of my greatest regrets is that I haven't learned to play an instrument, but I am determined to one day play the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has blessed my family and brought us so close together. I have experienced the joy and happiness that comes from being obedient to the commandments and living the gospel of Jesus Christ. From these things come the greatest happiness that can be found in this world. It is true happiness. I love being a Mormon. I would never trade it for anything. The happiness that I experience with my friends and family is truly comforting and inspiring. The best thing is that I know that the happiness with my friends and family can last forever, not just in this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through serving in my church and community, the way I act and treat others, and by those things that I spend my time doing. I serve currently in my church organizing teachers to teach every sunday at church the doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have served in my community in many aspects. My favorite service is as a volunteer coach helping young kids to have fun playing soccer. The way I act and treat others also illustrate how I live my faith. I try to emulate the characteristics of Jesus Christ by being kind, respectful, tolerant, patient, loving, trustworthy, helpful, friendly, thrifty, and many other Christ-like attributes. I seek to obey the laws of my country to the best of my ability. I stay away from substances that could harm my body. I keep myself well groomed and strongly uphold modesty. The last way I live my faith is through how I spend my time. I try to read from the Book of Mormon daily. I know that it contains truth and the gospel of Jesus Christ. I make sure I go to church every Sunday. I spend quality time with my family. My family is very important to me. I work hard in school and at work diligently seeking to do my best in all that I do.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Only some Mormons are allowed into temples because only some live their lives worthily to enter into the temple. The temple is a very holy place. It is the house of the Lord. It is not built for only Mormons, rather it is built for all the world to enter in if they will only live worthily to do so. I personally have had the opportunity to enter the temple and return there on a regular basis. In the temple we make covenants with our Heavenly Father. A covenant is a two way promise. These covenants are not secret. They are, however, very sacred and we promise to not disclose them to others. However, everyone can have the opportunity to make these covenants with our Heavenly Father if they live worthily to do so. We make these covenants to receive the blessings that our Heavenly Father promises us if we keep the covenants that we make with him. The temple is a wonderful place. I love to be there. It is a beautiful place where we make sacred covenants that if we keep, we will be blessed. Show more Show less
