Hi I'm James

I'm a Mormon. I'm a husband, father, and patent attorney.

About Me

I am a husband (to the best wife in the world), father of 7 awesome kids, member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, patent attorney, director for a small non-profit (www.edehaiti.org) and IT support guy for my extended family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a strong family where I was surrounded by the teachings of Jesus Christ and attended Church every Sunday with my family. It was not until high school that I realized that I could not rely on the testimony and beliefs of my parents and leaders forever. I earnestly read and studied the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true. One night, while reading in my bedroom, the most overwhelming feeling of calm came over me, and I knew that the Lord wanted me to know that the Book of Mormon was true. Since then I have had many small experiences that strengthen and reinforce my testimony.

How I live my faith

I do my best to teach my children about Christ and be an example for them. I work with the teenage boys in our branch (local congregation), and I hope to help them prepare to be missionaries, husbands and fathers.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

The Lord blesses us with Apostles today. My life is blessed each and every time I listen to one of the Apostles speak. They truly are inspired of God and they share the message that God wants us to hear. Show more Show less
