Hi I'm Matthew

I grew up in England, United Kingdom. I design & develop iOS applications. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to surf. I have been a surfer for over twenty years now and have surfed all over the world. I love traveling & meeting new people. Seeing other cultures in all their diversities is very exciting. I love to capture life through photography. I also work within graphic design & currently design iOS apps for the iPhone and iPad. I feel that Heavenly Father has blessed me with a sense of creativity.

Why I am a Mormon

My grand parents & parents are Mormons. So being a Mormon, is normal to me. However, by careful study & application of the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I gained my own testimony of its truthfulness. Being a Mormon, having a testimony that Heavenly Father loves me and that Jesus Christ is my Saviour, has enhanced every aspect of my life. Whether I am with my family, surfing, traveling, taking photos, designing or just simply taking a walk. I find that being a Mormon gives me a feeling of peace and a love for others, a sense of purpose. Being a Mormon, helps me to enjoy every aspect of life and what it has to offer to its fullest.

How I live my faith

Since gaining a testimony of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have had many opportunities to serve in our Church. I have served as a full-time missionary in the Singapore, South East Asia mission. That time of service helped me to understand myself and how to serve the Lord & Heavenly Father's children. I gained an increased love for people and Jesus Christ. Now, many years later, I have served in many areas of the Church. Each call to serve gives opportunities to develop my faith & understanding of the gospel and the plan of salvation. In my service I have witnessed many times the way the Lord blesses my family and others. Service in the Church has changed my family. We have become less selfish and more concerned with our neighbours wellbeing. Being a Mormon, we naturally want to do and be our best selves. We always encourage our children to be good, honest and try their best. To be friendly & kind. Ultimately, to be like Jesus.
