Hi I'm Lucas Ogrins

I'm Canadian, a budding Computer Scientist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an explorer. I love learning new things and reverse engineering items to figure out how to build my own, even if I don't get to dismantle them. If I had the time to, I would learn all there is to learn in the world. But with more emphasis on science than anything else. And sadly, one can only learn so much in a given lifetime. But that won't stop me from trying. I enjoy music. I am working on teaching myself piano. I also like to participate in choirs and sing songs. I really enjoy singing the more challenging pieces. I am currently working toward a Computer Science degree. While I was doing this, I met my wife. Easily the best decision that I have ever made. With being an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints being a close second.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm still a member of this church because of my love for my Savior, Jesus Christ. Without the strength that comes from His Atonement, I would not be where I am today. I know for a fact that my life would be much more miserable without the Gospel. Not to mention the fact that I would not have found such a wonderful wife if I wasn't a member of this church and following God's commandments. I know that this church is true. I know that the doctrines taught within it are true. I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves each of us. I know that repentance works and that it helps us get on the path, if you will, to go back to live with Heavenly Father. I know that the path that has been outlined in scripture and in doctrine is the only way to gain happiness in this life. There is no other way. Any other way will not work.

How I live my faith

I teach kids in the church with my wife. We teach little kids around 3-4 years old. And they are certainly bundles of energy. But it is certainly lots of fun and it is neat to see their personalities at work.
