Hi I'm Jason

I'm in my 20's, a real estate investor and have a little boy with a little girl on the way.

About Me

I am 26 years old and work full time with at a Real Estate Investment company in Utah. We buy and fix up and sell over 100 homes a week. I am happily married and have a 20 month old boy and a little girl on the way. I love what I do and spending time with my family as well as anything related to sports or investing.

Why I am a Mormon

The greatest decision I have ever made was to become a Mormon. What began as decision based on faith has grown quickly into knowledge. The Holy Spirit has played a huge role in my conversion. The teachings of the church make sense in my mind and all, but the biggest thing that has gotten me to where I am today is that calm, peaceful, confirming feeling of the Spirit letting me know that I'm exactly where I should be. I'm a firm believer in continuing revelation and that God can and does still communicate regularly to you and to me as well as to prophets as in days of old. I'm not a Mormon for my parents or my friends or anyone else, I am a Mormon for me, because I have found that when I live by the church's teachings is when I am the most happy and when I find the greatest success in life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing all I can to help and serve those around me as I feel the Savior would do. My favorite group to work with is teenagers. I recently made it through my teenage years and I love helping those not far behind me that are going through a lot of the same struggles to find strength in the teachings of Christ. In summers past I have been a week long church camp counselor. Currently I work with the teenage guys ages 16 - 18 in my congregation. I absolutely love it. Helping others of God's children truly is the greatest way to spend our time while we are here.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

I spent two years of my life in Cape Town South Africa helping people of all races and colors join the Mormon Church and receive the priesthood. A verse from the Book of Mormon reads "And he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile." There are absolutely no restrictions within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints based on race or color. Show more Show less

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

This is a longer answer than I usually give. I personally always believed that Christ was the Savior because it was all I'd ever heard or known and had never thought to question it. When I was 20 I had a non-christian ask me why I believed in Christ and why I believed that God wasn't powerful enough to just forgive us to because he wanted to rather than punish our Savior for our sins. It shook me up. I did a lot of research into various sources and came out knowing stronger that ever that we have a perfect, all powerful and loving God and that according to His plan we NEED a Savior. If God were to simply waive the effects of sin because He chose to, whose to say that He would not waive the blessings of obedience simply because He chose to. I believe God to be a perfectly just God. When He says we will be blessed for being good or have bad consequences for being bad He means it, consistently, every time. That is a large part of why I can have faith in Him. I can trust Him. I know that He will do what He says He will do and that His choices are not based on mood or emotion but law. I am so thankful that Jesus chose to fill the role in Heavenly Fathers perfect plan and take upon himself our sins and weaknesses thus allowing Heavenly Father to be both perfectly just and merciful. His plan is perfect. We can have faith in Him and our Savior and it will bring us back to them. Show more Show less
