Hi I'm Rachael

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I'm a student at Brigham Young University studying Communication Disorders. I dream of being able to help those that can't or won't communicate be able to find communicate and become a part of society. Growing up, my family moved every few years to somewhere new and interesting, from Austin to Germany, from Vegas to Georgia. I have so many friends of all faiths and backgrounds all over the world. All this moving helped my family grow together, and our friendships are the ones I value the most. Most of my family is fairly musical, and we grew up singing and playing the piano together. We play games, go on trips, and do puzzles together all the time. I love my family more than anything.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my sets of grandparents joined the Church when my parents were young, and so I got to grow up in the Gospel. One of the few constants outside of my family every time we moved was the Church. Everywhere we went, there were friends ready to be made that shared my standards and beliefs. I would have been very lost in each new home if it weren't for these new friends. Now that I'm older, I get to choose where I live and whether or not to stay with the church I grew up in. Really though, it wasn't a choice. The peace I feel at Church and the guidance I receive from the Holy Ghost keep me strong in the Gospel. My testimony of the truthfulness of the Church grows every time I step outside and feel the wind on my face or see the beauty of the mountains in the distance. Only God could have created this incredible world.

How I live my faith

I serve as the pianist for almost every meeting on Sunday, as well as for the choir. I love being able to do this every Sunday, as I get to spend my time playing the piano and listen to the beautiful sound of the congregation singing together. I love music, and this gives me the opportunity to share my testimony through music.
