Hi I'm Tom

I'm a husband, father, teacher, swimmer, triathlete, and a mormon.

About Me

I teach junior high science to 7th and 8th graders. I teach swimming lessons in the summers and I love to swim and participate in triathlons. I have 6 beautiful children that keep us hoppin and happy. I love to spend time with my family camping and just being with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to show my love and devotion to Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father. The Savior helps me feel peace in my sometimes hectic life. I follow the Savior's plan because I want to live with Him again and be with my family forever. My family is what gives me true happiness and joy. When I serve others I know I am serving the Savior and in the process help those I serve to feel His love too.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day by striving to pray, both personnally and with my family. I serve as an advisor in the Young men's organization. I know that the service I give will help the young men I teach to learn and fulfill their priesthood responsibilities. I live my faith by teaching my family who the Savior is and helping them know how to follow Him. I also home teach three families. I find great joy in visiting them and teaching them the gospel.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Tom
We need a Savior because we all make mistakes while on Earth. We believe that to live with Heavenly Father again we must be made clean. The only person on Earth who lived a perfect life was Jesus Christ. Through sacrificing himself for us, he provided a way for us to be clean and thereby return to God's presence. We can't do it alone and there is nothing we could do to erase our mistakes. Its only through faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement. Show more Show less
