Hi I'm Rebecca Violet

About Me

I'm an educator of children as I currently teach 2nd grade and piano. On my blog, I post a dot to dot rendition of my life. "Insatiable curiosity is my hallmark". I'm in forever in love with my husband Jeremy. We were sealed for time and all eternity in the Bountiful Utah Temple in August 2005. This year marks our 5th anniversary. We are considering adoption and are excited and hopefull to add beautiful additions to our family- no matter how they arrive!

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel gives me purpose. It fills my life with meaning. My testimony daily grows with the ability to see blessings unfold that I know only could be given by the Lord and by keeping his commandments. I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible and know that they are true. I have felt God's love for me time and time again and have His spirit's witness that He has purpose for me and everyone here on the earth. I believe he speaks to us today- just as he did when Adam and Eve were alive and that gives me great happiness.

How I live my faith

I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I feel so hopeful. The message of the gospel of Christ gives me happiness and peace. I live my faith by striving to keep sacred covenants I've made with the Lord. I try to live a life full of service and grace. My husband and I love going to the temple because it brings our spirits closer together as a couple and helps us focus on what the Lord wants for us. We are always striving to have the blessings of the Lord in our lives as we say our prayers, read our scriptures and try to live a good life.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Rebecca Violet
"The Book of Mormon is a volume of holy scripture comparable to the Bible. It is a record of God’s dealings with the ancient inhabitants of the Americas and contains, as does the Bible, the fulness of the everlasting gospel." The Book of Mormon asks everyone at the very end, to pray and ask God if it is true. Those who follow this counsel are promised they will know the book is true. Moroni Chapter 10:3-5 3" Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts. 4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the gtruth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. 5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things."
