Hi I'm Romy

Wife, Chilean, techie, culture lover, world traveler, passionate plant-based foodie/cook and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife to a loving husband. Grew up in a loving, high energy and positive family environment. Life took me from Chile to USA. New technology is exciting to me. Love to learn new things. Like to travel to new places, learn about cultures and people. I've been learning to be more and more grateful about God's creation. Passionate to cook with plant-based whole food ingredients. Love to talk about the Word of Wisdom and the blessings that come when you follow it. Failing is not my favorite thing to do. I love to care even though sometimes it may cause pain. I couldn't imagine myself not having Christ in my life and the knowledge of the Plan of Happiness. I think he's the ultimate example of leadership and love.

Why I am a Mormon

Initially I was a Mormon because my family brought me up in this religion and it was something I enjoyed doing with them. As I grew older, I was able to find out for myself that being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was something that I enjoyed participating in because I was able to obtain a testimony of their teachings and beliefs, I found them to be truth. In this Church I've been taught that by following the teachings of Jesus Christ I can get closer to him, learn how to be an instrument in the hands of God and be able to find a purpose in my life. That I could be with my family forever! That Jesus Christ truly died and suffer so I could have the opportunity to repent and heal physically and spiritually. What an amazing truth that is. Even though we get to meet a lot of wonderful people in this church who become your family no matter where you live, the gospel is more than that, more than a social gathering. It provides the tools to help you be a bit better each day, it makes you be more empathetic of other's suffering, and it makes you want to be kinder and loving. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me be a better wife, and know how to prepare to be a good and caring mother. It helps me go through trials and challenges as Jesus Christ carries me through pains and sorrows. I'm able to know how to develop a relationship with my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ through the power or prayer, scripture study and following the promptings of the Holy Ghost. The gospel gaves me the knowledge to know that I'm not alone and that even though I make mistakes I can keep trying over and over again, always looking up to our Heavenly Father that's looking after us. Blessings require sacrifices. I'm a mormon because I know that through the gospel of Jesus Christ I can find the guidance on how to put away the natural man, to stop justifying my sins. I love being part of the church, & I love telling people that I'm a Mormon. A Christian.

How I live my faith

I try to be positive in my life and try to be a good example to others, especially the youth. Love working with them and serving our ward/community here in Wisconsin as much as we can.
