Hi I'm Ginny

I am a wife. I hope to be a mom. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, student, and future mom. I lived among the Guatemalan people for 18 months trying to improve their quality of life. I am attending college to obtain my bachelors degree to teach high school math and social studies. My husband and I are trying to build our family through fertility and adoption.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I always felt that what was taught there was true. Just after high school I encountered some problems in my life, and decided that I did not need the church. After a very long year away from the church and its teachings, I realized that my happiness was tied to following the teachings of the Savior, and regular activity in His church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that it is truly the church of our Savior, and that by living as He has taught we can find happiness and peace throughout our lives, even in the toughest of times.

How I live my faith

I teach with my husband the youth in my ward who are 13 going on 14 years old in Sunday School. It is a challenge finding ways to capture the attention of teenagers so that they can learn, but one I have grown to enjoy, and one I know is extremely important.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

In my family my 5 brothers and I served missions because we felt it was something we needed to do. My sister did not serve a proselyting mission. She felt it was better for her to begin her role of being a wife and a mother, which also is an extremely important responsibility. Show more Show less
