Hi I'm Natee

About Me

Well lets see...like it says above my name is Natee' (said like natay) and I am married to a wonderful man, who has sacrificed everything to take care of his family, he is serving in the U.S. Air Force, and we have a cute little "messy moo" of a son (who is in the picture with me!) I am a stay at home mom, I take care of our son, who is nine months, and who is also silly as can be! He looks exactly like his father (that is why he is such a handsome little boy!:) and has my eyes! So great combination for him! He is so much fun! He lights up my day, every day! What a joy! As I mentioned my husband is serving in the U.S. Air Force, he is currently training to be a Russian Linguist. He works very hard, but he truly has a talent for learning the language. I am very proud of him! We have been in California while he has been learning his language and now we will be leaving to Texas to finish up his job training. It will be nice for all of us when he graduates from training status and gets out in the field. It has been a complete blessing living in beautiful California! My husband and I have been married for almost two years now, yes, we are the tipical "utah mormons" (me, married, have a baby) hehe, we met (didn't even know each other) became friends over two months, dated for one, and were engaged for three! haha, so yep that adds up to 6 months total of knowing each other before we got married! ... :) Before we met we both told ourselves that we were going to date, the person we were going to marry, for at least a year before we tied the knot!...haha, well when it's right...things never go as you plan for them to...I wouldn't have it any other way. We are so in love and I feel like I've known him since birth! He is my best friend and I would not want to spend forever with or have a family with anyone else. :) I grew up with a dad in the military as well, so I am very used to moving at least every year, the change to me is exciting and new! I had the privilage to live in Germany, Alaska, California (twice now), and Utah growing up. I had some pretty exciting experiences with my family growing up. But for the majority of my life I spent in Utah. I love it there, it will always be my true home. My husband says that I am the silliest/weirdest person he knows (he says it with all his love of course). He says I do things he would only do to be silly and to get people to laugh, but I do them for reals. And it's true, I cannot deny it. For example I went into the store the other day to buy a new pillow, I wanted to test it out, right, so I laid on the floor and put the pillow under my head, right in the middle of the isle. Wait? Doesn't everybody do that? I thought that's what you did when you want to buy a new pillow? You gotta make sure it's "The One" right?! How else than to lye on the floor and test it out. haha, well anyways...I am sure that about sums up who I am. :)

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormom....well I was extremely blessed to be born into the gospel, into a loving family, who yet are not perfect themselves, but who taught me that I am a child of God. I choose to still be a mormon today. I am proud to be a mormon. I would not want to live in this world surrounded by darkness without being one or knowing what I know and having the light of Christ in my life. I am grateful to be a mormon. For the most part I have always been a pretty good person, I have always walked a pretty narrow path (not a perfect one, yet a fairly straight one) but for some reason when I was in my early 20's I guess I thought I had to test the testimony I had. I regret the things that I did, I strayed from my path for a while, went through some dark corners in my life, but I woke up one day. I couldn't remember who, Natee' was anymore? That feeling scared me, I needed to feel loved again, I knew what I was doing was wrong. I looked to my Heavenly Father again, it took a lot of effort on my part, but I found myself again through Him and His Son, Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for the Atonement and that I had that tool to find my way back home. It was hard learning the hard way, but I am grateful I had the oportunity to dig deep into my soul and become better than I ever had been! Not only does the atonement help for big things it also helps and has helped me be forgiven of all my little earthly mistakes. What a wonderful feeling to be clean again! We have that incredible blessing, if our hearts and minds are in the right place, every Sunday as we partake of the Sacrament. I am so grateful for that, to have that peace and light in my life. I cannot wait for the day when I can run into my Savior's and Heavenly Father's arms and say "We did it!" To look into their loving faces and to feel their warm embrace, will be like know other experience I have ever felt. I look forward to that day when I meet them face to face again.

How I live my faith

By trying to do my best in everything I do each and everyday. I am far from perfect, have a long way to go, but I know over time with the small efforts I make and the resteps I take to fix my mistakes, I know someday it will all pay off and in the life to come I will be happier than I can even imagine in this earthly state. I know Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ are real and they love me, that is what keeps me going, keeps me motivated to do better, to become better, and to become more like them. How I do this is by trying my best to make it to my Sunday meetings, read my scriptures everday, and to pray always. I make large efforts to do these things, but I do not always succeed, but I realize if my heart is in the right place Heavenly Father blesses me and knows I am doing my best, and as long as I keep what is most important in my heart always, He blesses me.

What is faith?

Faith is something hoped for, yet not seen. In the scriptures we are told this, Alma 32: 21 "And now as I said concerning faith—faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true. " We don't have to know all the answers to have faith in something that is right and true. Heavenly Father will let us know in our hearts if we just trust him. Faith doen't come by just thinking we need to do our part and show Heavenly Father we have faith in Him and His Son Jesus Christ. That is the only true way to show faith, is by hoping and/or believing and then showing how you believe or know that one true thing. We will be blessed for the faith we show. Show more Show less
