Hi I'm Caitlin
I am a dancer, a massage therapist, a mother and I am Mormon.
I was born in Redmond, WA in November 1983. I grew up in a small city called Mercer Island in Washington State. I love Washington! Even though it is really wet and rainy and gray here most the year, the gorgeous Seattle summer and fall make it worth it. I have one older sister who lives up the hill from me with her husband and two kids. My younger brother lives at home in Issaquah. When I was about 16 or 17 years old I started to realize what I wanted to do for my career. I wanted to be a healer, I wanted to help people. I went to massage school in Salt Lake City in 2003 after High School graduation and after that I came home started working here as a massage therapist. In 2004 I met the man of my dreams. Mr. Hancock. We were married in 2005 in the Seattle temple and now have two beautiful children a boy and a girl. I am so thankful for all of my blessings and trials. Life is truly beautiful!
Although I was born a member of the church, I have questioned and studied and prayed numerous times to make sure this was the right place for me to be. I have listened to the prophets and my teachers counsel as it says in the scriptures to ask God if these things are not true. By the power of the Spirit (Holy Ghost) you may know the truth of all things. I did this I prayed and received a personal witness that this is the true church of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. They are one in purpose and although there are many wonderful people around the world worshiping in good places, this church is true because it has a fullness of the truth and saving ordinances. This is the only way to have eternal families and the only way to live with Heavenly Father again receiving all that he has. I am so thankful to be Mormon it brings so much joy and a great sense of purpose to my life. I can't imagine life without it, nor would I want to. I love my savior and his church. I cannot wait to share this with those around me and especially teach my children about it.
Everyday I realize more and more about how important it is to constantly nourish my faith. Everyday, like a seedling or a tiny plant I need to take care of it to make sure it stays strong and grows. Thus helping me to learn, grow and progress. I find that the best way to do this is by studying the words of Christ and his prophets in the scriptures and other church materials. I also try to surround my self with uplifting people and good, clean types of media. This helps strengthen my faith in Christ because I am worthy and my mind is prepared to hear the whisperings of the spirit which guide me in my life decisions and help me to learn more about what Christ has in store for me. This continually strengthens my faith in Christ and my Heavenly Father.
