Hi I'm Ashley Anne

About Me

I am a full time business law student in Arizona. I enjoy listening to music, cooking, playing basketball, walking my dog, watching the sunset, and hanging out around the campfire. I like kids! They make me laugh with their creativity and their honesty. Someday I'll have my own, but for now I get to play with my neighbors'.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I was truly converted when I heard the stories of the pioneers. They moved from New York to Ohio to Illinois to Missouri and then finally to Utah because of persecution, and they traveled all on foot! Would they do that just to support a lie? I didn't think so. That's when I began searching more deeply what it was that they defended. They believed in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. They believed in baptism, repentance, forgiveness, prayer, revelation, prophets, priesthood, faith, and eternity. I believe what they taught, and try to live it as best I can. When I do, I find that I am happier in life. In the end, I think that's what everyone wants-happiness!

How I live my faith

At church, I participate in what we call Relief Society. It is an organization that delights in service and good works. We find nobility in motherhood and joy in womanhood. We love life and learning, and we know that our lives have meaning, purpose, and direction. Often times we take meals to those who are sick or just moved into a new home, or had a baby- anyone who is in need! But we don't just cook for people. We spend time getting to know one another and taking care of each other. We become close friends and strive to reach out to those in our communities as well.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Ashley Anne
Mormons try to live healthy, active lifestyles. We don't drink alcohol, coffee, or tea. We do eat fruits, veggies, and meat (sparingly). Once a month, we fast for a day. We are encouraged not to work on Sundays, as this is our day of rest. We use uplifting language. We dress modestly and avoid sloppy and extreme styles. Overall, we try to be clean and treat our bodies as best as we can. Show more Show less
