Hi I'm Karen Elizabeth

I was born in Canada. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Born in Canada and raised in Arizona, I have lived in Oregon for the past twenty years, where I raised my three sons. They are all married now to wonderful women, and I have seven delightful grandchildren who bring joy to my life everyday.

Why I am a Mormon

The missionaries found my parents in Sweden over 50 years ago and taught them the gospel. My father had read about Mormon missionaries coming to their community in a local newspaper. He was particularly interested in the comments he read about the 'Word of Wisdom", so he contacted the missionaries to learn more about their church. After my parents were baptized they moved to Canada where I was born. We attended a small branch in Trenton, Ontario, 35 miles away from our home. I remember the small congregation singing "The Spirit of God" and other hymns with such zeal and joy in that little building we met in. I was baptized in a small lake on our farm when I was eight, surrounded by the wonderful members of our small branch, and my testimony has only grown stronger each year thereafter. Though my life has taken me on many journeys I have never doubted the truthfulness of the gospel, and I have found great comfort and peace in the knowledge that my Heavenly Father loves me, and knows who I am. How grateful I am for missionaries who were willing to serve in Sweden those many years ago. Because of their service, and pioneering parents who embraced the gospel message, not only have I been blessed, but my children and grandchildren have been blessed with the happiness and joy that come from having the gospel in our lives.

How I live my faith

I find great happiness in serving as the pianist in the Children's Primary organization. Each Sunday I play the piano for two hours. Hearing the children sing songs about Jesus and seeing their smiling faces brings profound joy to my heart each week.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Karen Elizabeth
As I look around me at this beautiful world God created, I know he exists. I see Him in His great handiwork. As I hear, and taste, and touch, and see, I marvel at the wonders of this amazing body I live in and know that it too was divinely created. I feel it in heart and soul that there is a God who loves me. Show more Show less
