Hi I'm Chuck Dubois
I'm a businessman, I love football, I have a wonderful wife, three great kids, I'm "Living the Dream," and I'm a Mormon
About Me
I grew up in Colorado, but I now live in Minnesota the land of 10,000 lakes. I am an accountant by training, but recently retired from for a large health insurance company. I met my lovely wife of 33 years while attending college in Hawaii. She is from the Philippines, and we have 3 beautiful children, a daughter age 32, a son age 29, and a son age 25. I have suffered two strokes, one at the age of 19 while serving a mission in the Netherlands, and another 12 years ago. These two life changing experiences have helped me appreciate life and have given me a profound love for my family and for my Savior Jesus Christ.
Why I am a Mormon
Although I was raised a Mormon, I have found out for myself that the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are true, that God loves each of us so much that He sent a prophet in this dispensation to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that there is a living prophet of God on earth today who continues to communicate God's will to His children. I have felt God's immense love and power in my life, and I love and adore Him with all my heart. I know I can pray to Him and He will answer my prayers. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me handle the many challenges that I face in this life, and God helps me during the good times as well as through the challenging times. I also know I am happiest when I am living in accordance to God's plan of happiness. My association with the church and with other Mormons has strengthened, lifted, and sustained me throughout my life and has helped make me the kind of man I am today.
How I live my faith
My faith strengthens my marriage, my friendships, my career, and every other aspect of my life. I try my best to follow our Savior's instruction to "Love one another." One of the best ways I know to live my faith is to follow Christ's example and serve others. I have had many opportunities throughout my life to serve and interact with so many wonderful families and individuals. I especially enjoy seeing the gospel of Jesus Christ transform the lives of God's children; it continually strengthens me and my resolve to be a disciple of Christ. My real reward is the privilege I am given to spend time in the service of others, and I find a tremendous amount of joy and satisfaction as I serve.
