Hi I'm Josh

I'm a grad school graduate, a husband, and lucky father of two. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in northern California. Since graduating from high school I have split time between Utah, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, and Georgia where I had the opportunity to serve my LDS mission. My wife and I are thrilled that we are now in Pennsylvania, her home state, where I attended graduate school and am now working as a physical therapist. I love all sports-I would play soccer before I'd do just about anything else. But my most favorite thing in the world is being with my family and hearing my kids sing, play, and laugh!

Why I am a Mormon

Though raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, there have been many opportunities in my life to discover for myself the greatness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Through the teachings of the Church, I have strengthened my faith in Jesus Christ as my Savior and have learned to rely on Him for strength through the trials of life. I have come to understand what it is that God wants for me and my family and this knowledge helps me to live my life according to His will.

How I live my faith

Jesus lived life in a manner that was about everyone except Him. I live my faith by trying to follow His example as I look for opportunities to be of service - in my home, in the Church, among my neighbors and friends, and in my community. I live my faith by being mindful of His teachings and standing by them. While there is no ease in following Him perfectly, I love the simplicity of His gospel and the manner in which it can change us if we let it.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Mormons are just like everyone else. We want what is best for our families - safety and happiness. We try to be good neighbors and contribute in our communities as teachers, coaches, and in whatever other opportunities may come along. We love doing well in our jobs, whether in business or health care, politics or the food industry. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

I have learned in my own life that God truly is our Father in Heaven. As I have approached Him in sincere prayer, read the words of His servants available in the scriptures, and diligently tried to keep His commandments, I have come to know Him better. This effort of getting to know Him truly is a process that I have only just begun, but I know that He wants us to know Him and that He will continually strengthen our belief in Him until that belief becomes a sure knowledge.
