Hi I'm Mandee

I've been happily married for more than a decade. I am starting a new exhausting adventure - titled Nursing school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! :) I'm a 35yr old, who has been married to my sweet husband for over a decade. We have not been blessed with children, but love our life together. We are working and going to school. (I have recently been accepted into Nursing school.) I enjoy singing, photography, hiking in the forest, fishing at the lake, cross-stitch, crochet, movies, learning new things, and canning things that we've grown in our gardens. I love roller-coaster rides, and have been skydiving, parasailing, and scuba diving.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. When I was in my teenage years I questioned if I believed the things I was learning in the gospel... and through personal revelation (after studying the scriptures, and lots of prayer) I found that I truly believe, and know that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I have had many different opportunities to share my talents at church. I have worked in a leadership roles with the women in the church, and also helping to organize a girls camp for 140 girls between the ages of 12-17. I have a love of music, and have directed the singing activities on Sunday for the youth. I was recently teaching Sunday School to very wiggly 4 year olds. I am now a member of the Primary Presidency organizing and teaching children from age 3 to 11 in our ward. The children are a ray of sunshine in my week. They teach me so much, and I can see true joy radiating from their faces.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No - definitely not! I have been on many large service projects that helped specific needs of the community, or projects that were completed for area's in different parts of the world. Most recently I helped with a very large number of members clean up a state park. They were lacking in funding, and we were able to paint, and clean trails, remove dying trees, and put a fresh "sparkle" on the park that will be enjoyed by all. I also helped to winterize a trailer park where residents with mobile homes could not afford to do so on their own. Show more Show less
