Hi I'm Joel

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father and I enjoy my family and the things we do together. I have had several careers, some of which have caused me to travel and most which have involved the use of new and emerging technologies. I have enjoyed being a Home Builder as a hobby and have always built the homes in which my family has lived. I have been a Boy Scout Leader, a High School teacher and I do enjoy being involved with youth.

Why I am a Mormon

My sense of identity has always been founded upon my love for Jesus Christ. I appreciate the fact that he has called prophets and teachers to lead and guide us in this life. I love the scriptures and the answers I find to the problems and vexations of life and the reassurance I receive from the Spirit. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and has blessed me with an abundance of the wonderful things of life.

How I live my faith

I love music of many genres but mostly I enjoy that which is up-lifting and spiritually inspiring. I participate in a local community male chorus and I am a Music Leader in my Ward. I have enjoyed many teaching opportnities and enjoy working with the young adults. I enjoy visiting other families and inter-acting with the people in my nieghborhood and community activities. I try hard to treat others the way Christ would have me do, and to make decisions Christ would be pleased with.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

We can learn more about Christ by reading the scriptures. As we learn more about Christ we can know more about his teachings. We can begin to practice what he taught and then like watching a seed grow into a plant we can feel faith grow like a swelling in our heart. We then begin to recognize more and more the evidences of Christ in our life and see miracles in our lives and the lives of others around us. And we can come to have such faith in Christ as cannot be denied. Show more Show less
