Hi I'm Karl

I grew up in Southern CA. I'm the Oldest Brother, a f/t student, p/t social event planner, f/t security officer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Working full time as a student and full time as an employee are challenges that many people know. Hobbies I enjoy include hiking and rock climbing, I love to be outdoors and do things that take me away from my hectic life to enjoy nature. I have had circumstances in my life where learning has been a difficult thing for me. Though boring to most perhaps, I enjoy writing and research in how people learn and how that knowledge can assist teachers as they work to help both the young and the older student(s) overcome personal difficulties like I have in their lives where learning is affected.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to stay a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints because I find that as the world goes one direction, I observe that the church keeps its anchor in the same place and I recognized that this was something I needed in my life. I see people in my life and in the media become swayed by the court of popular opinion and the ruin it brings to their lives. People who destroy their lives by relying on hurting others and themselves and bringing pain and discomfort to otherwise innocent people who are working hard to make the best decisions they can in their lives. I feel that when I attend church, I meet people who truly care. People who have an eye on what the end result should be and how they care about other people. I'm so grateful for people who visit me, and who care about the decisions I am making. Without such people, I just find that life can be a very mean, and ugly life. I know that God sends people into our lives to bless us. I know that he would have us take care of each other and look out not just for our physical needs, but also our spiritual needs as well. I'm so grateful that he takes care of us in both ways, giving me inspiration to both work and attend school as well as being in charge of people and acting as a shepherd too my other brothers and sisters. I know that God knows who we are in a very real personal way. I know that even though none of us may always understand each other fully, he does. He sees our inner self. He sees what we are capable of. I know that he speaks to prophets today who in turn share with us what we need to do to find the peace we all seek in our lives. I know him as the most forgiving person I know and that if we do not dwell on others mistakes, he in turn will not dwell on ours as we turn and make our lives better. This is my testimony that he lives, and that he speaks today.

How I live my faith

I enjoy helping others have fun at young single adult church dances. I like the idea of organizing a dance, and doing whatever it takes to help make it an environment where single young adults can come together and enjoy dancing, meeting other young single adults and genuinely getting to know the people who attend and working to make it a memorable experience for people. I'm also in charge of a group of people who visit families and I contact them to find out how their visits are going with members of our congregation. I have never been perfect at visiting everyone, but I have found that when we regularly visit with members from our congregation, we both grow together and we find out what their needs are and we work hard to try to assist them with their goals.
