Hi I'm Mary

I'm a Mormon. I have been a member of the church my whole life. I love it.

About Me

I am a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I enjoy sewing, crocheting and gardening. I have played the piano since I was 6 and the organ since I was 12. I teach piano lessons and write music. I like lighthouses and climbed to the top of the second highest lighthouse in North America when I was 58 years old. It was hard but the view was spectacular. My family and my religion are the two most important things in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I know it is the true church of Jesus Christ, and that I can live with Him and my family eternally by following its teachings and keeping my covenants.

How I live my faith

I pray and read scriptures every day. This helps me feel close to God and to better live like he wants me to. I try to be a good example to all with whom I come in contact. I played the piano or organ at church every Sunday for most of my life. Now someone else has that responsibility, but I still help out sometimes. I also taught children and adults in church classes and led the choir. My husband and I have been missionaries in Florida, USA and British Columbia, Canada.
