Hi I'm Bethany

I love drama. I love playing the drums, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Since doing Drama at High School, I have been able to appreciate myself more. Performing and having a laugh are things I am best at. I have taught myself to play the drums and therefore love my music! I would describe myself as a fun-loving, bubbly, enthusiastic and outgoing kinda girl who loves to help others feel good about themselves. One of my ambitions is to start up a Drama Workshops School where I can teach young children drama and help them have fun whilst gaining confidence for themselves. I went to University and gained a BA(Hons) in Drama and Education. These three years brought me to my wonderful and amazing husband! We married in September 2011 and have been happily married ever since. No children yet, but they are definitely in our plans. Currently, I'm working in retail and I love sharing the reasons why I'm so happy all the time: The Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is truly what makes me me because I have a strong faith in my Saviour Jesus Christ, that He died for me so I can be with my loving Heavenly Father again. I have a passion for life and want to make the most of my opportunities. I have been given gifts and talents that I want to share with others to make them happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up being a member of the Church my whole life. In my earlier years I was taught to pray and grow my faith personally. Since, I have had many wonderful spiritual experiences that have brought me to a knowledge that this is true. As I continue to strive and live a righteous life, I am happy, within and without. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truly the Lord's Church. He did establish it on the Earth once more through the Prophet, Joseph Smith, and it continues to move forward in this day and age through our current, living Prophet, Thomas S. Monson. One of the beauties of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that we have Another Testament that is similar to the Bible, in that it tells us of the accounts of many past prophets and apostles and others who have had their witness of the Lord, Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is true. It is an account of the ancient american inhabitants and their dealings with the Lord Jesus Christ. It teaches us the ways in which we can return to our loving Heavenly Father. It does testify of Jesus Christ. It makes me happy whenever I read and study it. I know it.

How I live my faith

Knowing this through daily application of the Gospel, doing things like praying personally morning and night, reading/studying my scriptures, helping to run my home and looking for ways to help and serve others are just some of the delights of living the Gospel. I also love to volunteer within my community, such as working in Charity shops. This means I can help those living in less fortunate circumstances than my own. Currently, I am a Visiting Teacher and I love it! This means I, with another female member, go to an assigned female members home and share with them a specific message from our Leaders. This is designed to uplift and strengthen them spiritually. Then we offer to help in whatever way we can. My mother was my great example. Visiting others and leaving them with a spiritual message and a smile on their face means a great deal to me and I know I'm doing my Saviour - their Saviour - a great service. In the past I have taught throughout Primary. This is where I discovered my love for Heavenly Father's children.

What is the First Vision?

When Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith in a grove of trees near his home in 1820. Joseph went to ask God which church to join as he was confused from their many different doctrines. God told Joseph to join none as they were all wrong. Joseph got told that he was needed for a very important work: restoring Christ's true church to the Earth! I know this really happened. Show more Show less
