Hi I'm Ryan

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I am a husband to a beautiful wife and a father of three lovely daughters and a handsome son. I am the son, grandson, & great-great grandson of a dentist. I am a dentist too. I enjoy running and playing the piano. I also tap dance. And, I’m a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon. However, I knew the stigma that went along with membership in this Church, especially growing up in a town where other kids my age had Church classes where they learned "how to deal with your 'Mormon' friends." I learned for myself that what I grew up believing was really true. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to my Heavenly Father asking if the book was indeed true. I felt a spiritual confirmation in my heart that this book's teachings are the word of God and that He called a prophet in our time, Joseph Smith, to restore Christ's ancient Church to the earth again. I gained a testimony for myself. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's Church on the earth today and teaches the way back to our Heavenly Father. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Each day I have the opportunity to continue to strive to live the teachings of Jesus Christ in order to have His love and peace in my heart. I find that the more I follow the teachings of the Savior, the closer I am to the Holy Spirit. This directs me in my choices each day and is the driving force in my life that helps me chose good over evil and have motivation to serve others. I am far from perfect, and without the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I would be lost to drift in and out of societies morals. Thankfully, my family and I work together to help one another succeed at our goals. I have been blessed to know these things, that is why I want to share them with others.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Both my wife and I are equal partners in our family. I could not raise my children alone with all the love and compasion needed. I believe that the roles of husband and wife, mother and father, each hold significant purpose in God's plan for us. We work together to build a home. The home is the training ground for us to learn how to love one another. I follow the teachings found in 1 Corinthians 13 that "charity or true love...beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things." Home is where we learn how to love.
