Hi I'm Mark Anthony

I grew up in Kentucky and moved to Ohio as an adult, I now work as a chemical dependency counselor and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 44 yr. old father of three children ages 7, 13, and 22 yrs old. I joined the church in 2006 and I could not imagine my life without the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I just completed my Masters degree in marriage and family counseling, and currently work as a substance abuse counselor. I would not have had thought it possible to go to college at my age, but being in the church I received the encouragement and support to do so. I am blessed to be able to serve my fellow man at work, and in my church calling.

Why I am a Mormon

I have gone to other churches through out my life, but always seem to feel as if something was missing. I loved the people of some of the other Christen churches I've attended, and felt that they had some of the light of Christ with in their faith, but I still needed more. As I searched and searched I almost gave up, until one day I happened to go to a Chiropractor that had a book of Mormon in his waiting room. That was the beginning of the best change in my life, now don't get me wrong, I did not leap without looking. I read the Book of Mormon in about 2 weeks, I just could not put it down. I prayed with true intent and visited the local branch several times, and everything I learned, I felt as if I had always known it before, like I was remembering. I have never felt so much love and respect from people I barely knew, and to know that where ever I go in the world, the church is there and that same sweet spirit is there too. That is in part why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to help anyone in need I possibly can. I've gone into the helping professions for that very reason, and as I've learned in this church, the pure love of Christ is charity. I try and make sure that I am honest and fair in all of my dealings with my fellow men and women, and treat women like the daughters of God that they are.

Are Mormons Christians?

Mark Anthony
Mormons are Christians. We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Eternal God, and that Christ died on the cross for our sins, and was resurrected three days later. We believe that there is no other name that can bring eternal life, than Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
