Hi I'm Cindi

I'm a mother, I aspire to live simply and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am first and foremost a mother. My husband and I have two beautiful daughters that challenge us to be better people on an hourly basis. I grew up in the Seattle, WA area and I think that has attributed to my love of natural things, being outside, and a passion for gardening. I also love crafts, sewing, scrapbooking, reading, playing sports, baking, music (I sing and play the viola and piano), and learning. Besides my family I have accomplished a Bachelors Degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Research and Surveys at Brigham Young University and started my Masters of Public Administration at the University of Washington. If I was not lucky enough to have a family you would find me doing educational research for school districts. I have a passion for bettering our children's education. I try to look at life as a learning opportunity and there are so many things to learn! I like to think of ways to save money and live a healthier and simpler life. I want my girls to grow up healthy: physically, mentally, and spiritually. That way they can be strong people who can then help others around them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of all the ways I see my Heavenly Father's hand in my life and in his church. The spirit testifies to me that this is where my Heavenly Father wants me to be. I have tested and tried his word in the Bible, Book of Mormon, and other latter-day revelations and have found them to be true. I have a sincere testimony of Joseph Smith's revelation and that he restored the Lord's church. The Book of Mormon is true. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father are real and I feel of their love.

How I live my faith

I am a volunteer coordinator for our ward (what we call a congregation) to a local nursing home. I coordinate events for the residents of the nursing home that involve our ward members. I have loved to witness the goodness of others shine through. This has been such a blessing for me to be able to serve those in our community. Another woman and I also visit with a few other women in our ward. We do this to make sure we are being good stewards of those in our ward. We befriend them, uplift them with a spiritual message, and are always there when they need anything.
