Hi I'm Eric Heath

I am a husband, a father, I love my Savior and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 38 year old husband and father of four incredible children. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since I was 8 years old. I grew up in a home where my father was inactive and lived a partying lifestyle. He also was a workaholic and I rarely saw him. He did not mind that my mom and my siblings went to church but he also had nothing to do with it. I attempted to get him to go to Priesthood session with me every six months for a good 10 years. His only break was when I served my mission to Argentina for two years. On my mission he wrote and said he is happy how he is and wanted me to stop trying to change him. It was hard to hear, but there was no way I was going to give up. After years of trying, the new Conference center opened in Salt Lake and I got him to go with me to the Priesthood session. I am not sure the impact that had on him but I knew it could only be positive. My little brother invited him to a scout camp for fathers and sons and he decided he did not want to go off by himself and smoke so he began the process of quitting. He slowly gave up the alcohol and the smoking. He worked hard and a year later my family was sealed in the Temple. It has now been 10 years and that event has had a powerful influence on who I am as a father and a husband. My wife and I have had many trials that seem too much to carry, yet the Lord has always been there for us.He is our Savior and Redeemer and I am forever grateful for his love.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a long line of Mormon ancestry. I was born and raised in the church and developed my own testimony when I served the Lord in Argentina. I felt God's love and support and knew that he was there for me. I came to know my Savior more powerfully than I ever had before. As I preached the word of God, the power of the Book of Mormon was evident and my testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon became immovable. I love this Gospel with all my heart. It brings such peace and joy to all who truly study and feel what it is all about.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my everyday actions. I love my wife and children with all my heart and that love has come through knowing my Savior better. His Atonement has been such a blessing in my life and I recognize that everything I am is because of Him. I love to study the Gospel. I love to read the words of the Prophet and Church leaders. I love to teach the Gospel and share testimony of its truth.
