Hi I'm Wayland

I grew up in Parowan, Utah, became a pilot and a aerospace engineer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired pilot and aerospace engineer. I have a wife, 4 sons, 2 daughters in law, and a granddaugther. My sons and I like to ride dirt bikes together. My hobbies include woodworking, remodeling, auto mechanics, snow skiing, and video editing.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors joined the Mormon Church back in the 1830's and 40's. So I was born into a family with a deep background in Mormonism. However, as with everyone, it requires gaining a personal testimony through study, prayer, and living the commandments. I have done all those things throughout my life and bear testimony that we are all children of our Father in Heaven who wants us to return to live with him again. Jesus Christ is our Savior and was sent to prepare the way for us to return to our Father in Heaven. I also know that the full Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith and that we have a prophet on the earth today who leads and directs this work under the direction of our elder brother, even Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to be able to serve in many capacities both in the church and in the community. My favorite thing to do is teach classes at church. I also enjoy working with the youth. My life has been so blessed by the service of others and I only hope that I have brought some joy and happiness to those I serve.
