Hi I'm Jeff

I grew up in the US moved to Australia 11 years ago and yes I am a Mormon or as we prefer to be called a Latter Day Saint

About Me

I am a banker in Rural Australia. I am married with 2 children. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints June 2000 after searching for the truth for 15 years. I love the outdoors, camping and fishing as well as indoor activities such as reading, computer gaming and surfing the net

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I read and prayed about the book of Mormon and I got confirmation for myself that this book is a true work of God. I spent year searching for the truth from studying at a bible college even working as a youth minister for a non denominational church. I believe in the family values we have that I will be with my wife and kids forever as a eternal family. I searched for the truth for many years. and realized that the Church of Jesus Chirst of Latter Day Saints holds that truth.

How I live my faith

I am currently the Branch President in the Wagga area. What means to someone that is unfamiliar with us. I would be considered the pastor, priest or minister of the church. I didn't study to become the branch president. I was called to the position after church leaders prayed and where given confirmation that I should be the leader in Wagga. I have many responsibilities with in the church from looking after the youth program as well as the many other programs we have which include a young singles adult program, primary, as well as taking care of the widows and others that are in need. I am also active in a local organization that assist rural communities in improving the social aspects of the community. I live my life by the standards of the church which may make me different to family and friends but it is a good different. I am keen to share the reasons for my faith and willing to talk to anyone about what I believe and why.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No we help all that need assistance. If someone needs assistance we can but the brothers and sisters of the church into action. As Jesus Christ loves us all we have been taught to sacrifice are time and abilities to help anyone in need. Show more Show less
