Hi I'm Crystal

I am a Minnesota native. I am a birth mom, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been born and raised in MN for most of my life, loving all four seasons. I lived in different parts of the state, and each part is uniquely beautiful in its own way. I am also a birth mom. I gave my daughter up for adoption, and I can say it was a beautifully difficult decision in my life. I am glad to be able to give a blessing to another family, and in turn, being blessed in knowing she went to a good home.

Why I am a Mormon

I always been a Christian for as long as I can remember. I went to college, and during Spring Semester, I was praying for a few weeks for any guidance and direction. I got an answer...The Missionaries came by my door. I took the lessons twice a week for the next 3 weeks, and I was baptized.

How I live my faith

I enjoy doing family history, discovering my family roots. I love the connection I feel with my family roots, since families can be together forever.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

In my heart, I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and He lives. The Church also believes Jesus is Son of God, and He lives. The Bible tells us of His divinity as the Son of God, and the Book of Mormon gives us another testimony of this fact. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, Mormons are Christians....We, as the Church, accept the Bible as scripture, as other Churches do. I think what sets the LDS Church apart is that we have additional Scripture to compliment the Bible. The Book of Mormon was never meant to destroy anything, but to add, and to enlighten all those who read it. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No, never. Joseph Smith was the Prophet of the Restoration of the Gospel, but that's about it. As a Mormon, I do not worship Joseph Smith, but have a deep respect for him as a prophet. I am truly grateful God has used him as an instrument to bring God's work forward. Show more Show less

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

I truly believe that misinformation is out there about the Church. Of course, I am well aware there are different claims about this, that, or the other thing about the Church, as a whole. I am well aware the claim about the Church being a "cult", but it truly isn't. I believe the Church is a good, wholesome Church, with wholesome values. Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven't we always had the Bible?

I always have been a Christian and read the Bible quite frequently. Of course, I had questions, but felt as if there something missing. 6 years ago, I was presented with the Book of Mormon, and read it. I put the Book of Mormon and the Bible side by side, and I felt it was finally complete, and found the answers I was looking for. So, in light of this, the Restoration was deeply needed because some parts of the Bible was not fully complete nor fully explained. I am NOT saying that Bible was not good, for it is the Word of God. Up until the Restoration, the Bible was the only Word of God. Now, with the Restoration, we have more scriptures, enlightening us. For me, it is also a reminder that God still speaks to all of us.
