Hi I'm Darlynn

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle child of seven, born and raised in a Mormon family with Mormon roots as deep as they go. I am a mother & grandmother. I stayed at home with our children for nearly thirty years. My husband and I served a Stake Mission in Thatcher, Arizona and are currently serving a Work Service Mission as Bishop's Storehouse Managers in Aurora, Colorado.

Why I am a Mormon

I have progenitors who played in Joseph Smith's front yard, some who were actively involved in the Mormon Battalion, some in the Willie Handcart Company and many in the Pioneer Trek to Utah. My grand parents left the comfort of Utah and helped settle colonies in Mexico and cities in Arizona. My family history is full of precious stories of faith in Jesus Christ. Thanks to my progenitors I am a Mormon. I am the mother of five children, one boy and four girls. We have thirteen grand children. Our children and grandchildren are strong and valiant and they are courageously working through their lives with faith in Jesus Christ. For the sake of my posterity I am a Mormon. I have witnessed many life changing miracles brought about through the Priesthood of Jesus Christ. I have had hundreds of pleas answered by the goodness of God. I have proven the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be true through the test of time and the test of doing. Because the Holy Spirit has born witness to me that this church is God's church I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

When I was a teenager I began teaching pre-school age children about God and His Son Jesus Christ. As an adult I have also taught the His gospel to Jr. High & High School youth, Adults and preschool children. Since I was an 8 year old Sunday School child I have had a particular interest in researching the lives of my ancestors. I worked for five years as a Den Mother in the Cub Scout program and five more years as a 4-H leader. I worked for a summer as a volunteer at a nearby hospital and I have tutored many preschool children. I served a two year mission with my husband in Thatcher Arizona, where we went from door to door teaching God's truth to our neighbors. We are currently serving an 18 month mission in Colorado as managers of the Bishop's Storehouse in Aurora Colorado. There we get to participate in humanitarian services of all kinds. On a daily basis we distribute food and other commodities to the poor of the church. Frequently we ship all kinds of humanitarian aid to Salt Lake City to be distributed throughout the world to members of the church and non-members alike. Probably the most important thing my faith has taught me and encouraged me to do is to work hard each and every living moment trying to find ways to better serve my fellow beings.

Are Mormons Christians?

YES! For 0ver a half a century I have been a Mormon and I have always believed that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He is personal my Savior and that He will yet rule and as king of kings. I have always tried to pattern my life after the mortal life of Jesus Christ. I believe in Christ! He is my King! Can there be anything more christian than this? Show more Show less
