Hi I'm Mike

I'm a husband, father, law student, and a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a law student and juggling life with two little boys and a lovely wife. I also keep up on sports whenever I can, and notice a disproportionate amount of my time is devoted to checking box scores during baseball season.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and grew up believing that I was a part of a "weird" religion. As I grew older I came to realize that I didn't know that much about it! I started to study the Bible and the Book of Mormon and was able to see for myself the God's plan for His people and I wanted to know if He had a plan for me in the same way. After much prayer I can say with confidence that He does.

How I live my faith

I currently work with the Sunday School to make sure that everything runs smooth as far as teaching on Sunday. In practice, I'm pretty hands off. I believe that teaching the Gospel is a very personal and spiritual experience, so I love being in a position where I get to witness the wonderful teaching of those around me.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Thankfully it does not! My personal belief is that people need to vote in their own best interests. My family's needs may be served best through one party, while another family with completely different needs may best be served by another party. That being said, I am hardly set in my voting ways, and love to talk politics. My wife often rolls her eyes at me if we have guests and the dinner conversation moves to politics, but I can't get enough of it. How boring life would be if we all had to have the same opinion!
