Hi I'm Nathan

I am an adventurous soul who is grateful to be a Mormon

About Me

Hi there, I am Nathan, husband to my incredible wife Nicole and Father of four amazing daughters... yes that makes a 5 to 1 ratio in my home, but I love it. I am an entrepreneur who loves to create new ideas and work on making them a positive influence in business and the world. I love the outdoors, exercise, technology, spending time with family and friends, gaining knowledge through learning. Just like the next guy, I seek each day to find joy and meaning in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but that is not why I am a "Mormon". It is not easy to be a "Mormon", the very nature of the gospel of Jesus Christ requires one to reflect personally on ones conduct related to himself and his fellow men. Personal sacrifice and frequent meaningful service is asked of all those who desire to be disciples. The nature of this kind of commitment has resulted in two important actions and feelings First I have often been brought to my knees in prayer of supplication and gratitude to our Father in Heaven wherein I have felt on many occasion the sweet confirmation of my testimony in the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Second, I have discovered that I find more and more joy in doing those things that one would consider a sacrifice. Both of these have distilled upon my heart a confirmation that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's organized application of his plan for us on this earth. I have seen it, heard it and felt so many times that I feel no uncertainty about its veracity. Layer on all the practical evidences of this church's guidance by the Savior Jesus Christ like it's continued rapid growth in the world, its administration with global consistency by unpaid clergy, its unprecedented impact for good on social issues across the globe, its uncanny ability to forecast and warn of troubling trends long before science and society catch up see Word of Wisdom and its impact on changing an individual's behavior and demeanor for the better, and it is easy for me to exclaim without doubt that Jesus Christ Lives and directs this church, that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ and was directed to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth, that Joseph translated the Book of Mormon, which is the truest of all written texts and a companion with the Bible as another testament of Jesus Christ, and that this church is lead by a living prophet who communicates with Jesus Christ in directing the affairs of this church on the earth as in days of old. I know these things are true.

How I live my faith

In no spectacular way, I look for opportunities to share the great joy I feel for this life. I love helping people, even strangers, smile and laugh. I enjoy visiting neighbors with a smile and an occasional message of hope and happiness. Frequently, I am lucky enough to spend time mentoring young men through instruction and fun activities. I recognize the great abundance with which our Heavenly Father has blessed me, in the form of health, learning, social development, experiences and resources, and look for ways to share those blessings with others the best I can. Especially with those who are facing challenging experiences.

Are Mormons Christians?

As individuals who testify of the divinity of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the Savior of all Man-kind, Mormons are first and foremost Christians. We strive to be disciples or followers of the Jesus in word and deed, and recognize that it is only by Him and through Him that we may return to the presence of our Father in Heaven Show more Show less
