Hi I'm Casie

I live in Texas. I am a wife and mother. I joined the Church when I was 18. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Wisconsin and then went to college at Brigham Young University in Utah. While there, I met and married my husband. After we both graduated, we moved to Texas for my husband's career. There, we welcomed our daughter into our family. I enjoy crafts, running, and playing games with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert. This means that I was not baptized into the Church at the age of 8 like many others. This also means my entire family are not members. I joined when I was 18, a senior in high school. My friend in high school is Mormon and introduced me to the Church. Prior to joining, I was active in my Lutheran Church and planned to become a pastor. My friend gave me the Book of Mormon and I read it. I fell in love with the stories of the Savior and grew closer to Him. I met with the missionaries and prayed a lot, looking for the truth. My answer came one night, while I was praying on my knees. A few months later, I was baptized. It has been almost three years since then and I am beyond happy. I married my best friend and my love in the Lord's Temple just last year and we could not be happier. Life still has its ups and downs but I have a testimony of the Savior and of this Church. I have felt the hand of God in my life over and over again. I know I will be with my husband and our children for eternity as long as I live according to the covenants and commandments I have made. I know we have a prophet in these latter days to guide us. I know President Monson is the prophet the Lord has chosen for us. He is guided and led by the Savior. He is truly a man of God and serves as His mouthpiece. I testify that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove. I have had my own sacred grove experience. I know it is true. I also testify of weaknesses. The Lord gives us weaknesses so we learn to turn to Him for help.

How I live my faith

Every day, I strive to show others the love of Jesus Christ. To do this, I try to serve my family members and my friends as well as my neighbors. I try to speak kind words and make good choices so others can see my love for them. To build and strengthen my marriage, I attend church regularly, pray with my family, read scriptures and visit the temple often. By doing these simple things, I help my faith grow. In turn, this helps me show others the love of Christ.
