Hi I'm Lynae

I've been Chosen to Witness for His name. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a college student studying Education. I work in a Library. I love my Savior. My Family & Friends are my life. I’m the world’s best Aunt. The Boston Red Sox and Utah Jazz are the bee’s knees. I live for Frozen Hot Chocolates, also known as “Fro-Cho’s". Free time is spent Baking, Reading, playing Tennis, striking Yoga Poses, and Blogging.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a "mormon" because I have found that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be the ONLY true church on the Earth. I have recieved personal revelation through the Holy Ghost that I am a child of God, He knows me personally, and He loves and cares about me. I know that I was sent here to Earth to recieve a body and to be tried and tested. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and brought the fullness of the Gospel back to the world. I know that God has a living prophet on the Earth today, and his name is Thomas S. Monson. I know that President Monson recieves council from God and gives us guidence particular to the trials that we face in the world today. I know that the principles that the Church teaches and practices are true and are ordained of God. I know that the book of Mormon is true and that it gives peace and understanding into the lives of those that read it. And most of all, I know without a doubt, that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World. I know that He suffered and atoned for the sins of all mankind. And I know that without Him, I would be lost forever. I know Him personally. I know that He loves me unconditionally. I know all of these things are true because I have asked if they were. Moroni 10: 4-5 "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. " I have asked, and I have recieved comfirmation that ALL these things are true. I have recieved such a strong confirmation that I will never deny them.

How I live my faith

I have been a PROUD member of the Church my entire life. This means living up to the Church's standards "in all times, in all things and in all places" as I strive each day to become more like my Savior by reading the scriptures, praying daily and attending my church meetings every week.

Are Mormons Christians?

Lynae
Yes, Mormons are indeed Christians. Being a "Mormon" is just a nickname. The full title of our church is, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints." Our first prophet, Joseph Smith, wrote twelve main "points" that the Church believes in. They are know as the Twelve Articles of Faith. The first one reads: "We believe in God, the Eternal Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost." Show more Show less

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Lynae
The members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe in the Book of Mormon. It is another testament of our Savior, Jesus Christ and His gospel given through the ancient people, the Nephites, who were living in the Americas. Because of our belief in the Book of Mormon, we often are referred to by our nickname of "Mormons". Show more Show less
