Hi I'm Wayne McKay

I'm my wife's Prandsome Hince, my kid's Dad, my grandkid's Papa Wayne, my Savior's brother and my Father in Heaven's obedient Son.

About Me

I'm a balladeer, a raconteur (storyteller) and a voice artist, which really means, I'm a crazy old codger who sings songs, tells tales and does voiceover work. And while I love what I do, my "greatest" joy comes from being the husband of the same beautiful woman for more than forty (40) years, the father of two amazing daughters and the grandfather of ten priceless grandchildren. While I've always enjoyed considerable success participating in sports, I prefer being a spectator more nowadays. By the way, after spending a fairly large portion of our ten hour flight from London, England to Capetown, South Africa visiting with Francois Pienaar (the Rainbow Warrior), his wife and father-in-law and then living there for a year rugby has become my favorite sport. No, I would never attempt to play it at my age, but, I love to watch it. Never the less, next to my beautiful wife, family and church my first love is what I'm doing now; singing, telling stories and doing voice work now and again. I thank the Lord every day for the talents he has blessed me with and try to magnify his will In all I do.

Why I am a Mormon

Not because I was born and raised in a Mormon family, but, because after nearly ten years of complete inactivity in the Church and four and a half years in the military, at the age of 22 I needed to know for myself and decided to take Moroni up on his promise in Moroni chapter 10 verse 4 and 5 in the Book of Mormon and God kept his promise and answered my many hours of sincere and fervent prayer and I can with a clear conscience say "I know the Book of Mormon is true and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is his church.

How I live my faith

At the present, I'm putting together a storytelling bus tour and the first ever three day storytelling festival for our community. I can honestly say that the success I've had with it can be attributed to inspiration from the Lord. But, then he has a vested interest. From the outset it was dedicated to him. And it seems like every time I run into a wall he opens a window or door to get me past it. Admittedly, I would like it a-lot more if he didn't leave so much up to me to sort out for myself. Never the less, as the old saying goes; not mine, but, his will be done.
